Remember when all the stars in the night sky stood still (with the exception of only one or two wishes for the lucky ones)?
A person could get lost staring at the static vastness for hours, feeling small and humbled (as one should when the universe stares back).
And now…
(to the dismay of those still humbled, those who enjoy getting lost, those who feel generations of nostalgia for the sparkling majestic that awakens when the sun falls asleep)
… just like that, the parasites have almost ruined it…
It’s hard to get lost in wonder when humanity moves by: imposters among the stars, one, and then another, and another…
